THE WILL OF GOD, VISION, and MOTIVATION?

THE WILL OF GOD, VISION, and MOTIVATION?

By Rodney W. Francis

Is there a connection? I believe so. This is the way of Prophetic People.

1. THE WILL OF GOD

The will of God for our lives comes by revelation – God speaking to us. Revelation causes us to “hear” and to “see” (Revelation 1) what we have not been able to hear and see before.

  •  What is the will of God for your life?
  • Can you briefly share that which you know God has called you to do, and to be?

2. VISION

The revelation of God imparts vision into our spirit. That revelation knowledge “turns the lights on” inside of us, and we start to see God’s purpose for our life. That seeing is vision. The Bible tells us, “Where there is no vision (prophetic revelation), the people perish (“cast off restraint” – lose motivation!)(Proverbs 29:18). Can you see where you are going in God, and in life?

  • What is your vision right now?
  • What is your vision for the next five years? Ten years?

3. MOTIVATION

We then have to do something with that which we have received. We commit to it and begin to cultivate and nurture it through to the place of birth – bringing the unseen through to the realm of the seen, physical realm. That takes motivation on our part – motivation to commitment of that which we have seen and heard by the Holy Spirit of Revelation.

If the revelation and vision of God is not strong we will never be motivated enough to rise above the doubts, the fears of committing to something new, and as yet, unseen. Like a pregnant woman we have to carry our own baby. We have to bring that which has been conceived in and by the Holy Spirit through to the place of birth. If we are not motivated enough to do that, then the will/revelation of God will be miscarried, aborted or stillborn.

  • What is it that is motivating you right now?

As a Prophetic Person and People we should all have some revelation of the will and purpose of God for our lives.

If not, and you are struggling to be motivated in the things of God, then look again at the will and vision of God. Do you know and understand what that is for you? If you need to talk to trusted, prophetic people about your vision, feel free to do so.

  • We need to enjoy the journey.
