0065 - What A Wonderful Privilege!

WHAT A WONDERFUL PRIVILEGE!  

In a day when it is so easy to get distracted with things negative, let us be encouraged to focus on the very basic essential of what it means to be a born-again, Holy Spirit-filled Christian believer. Think, for a moment – in fact, a big moment! – how that of all of the multiplied millions of people alive on the earth right now, Jesus Christ has personally hand-selected you and me, and called us by name to know, follow, and walk with Him day by day. He has personally called us to place our life into His powerful hands and to allow Him to lead us on in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake! What a wonderful privilege to know and experience that! Oral Roberts (Tulsa, USA) once said: “When God looked down from heaven, He saw something in us that nobody else could see – and He chose us!” Does that not make you feel quite special?

More than anything else, Jesus longs for yours and my friendship – a friendship relationship that will come before anything and everything else in our life. To get the benefits of Christianity JESUS must be “Number One!” (Number two is not good enough)! He must be LORD! What a wonderful privilege to know that He thinks so highly of us that He craves our friendship more than our ministry, our finances, our time, our prayers, our church attendance, our anything else, etc.

What a wonderful privilege to be able to know Jesus now (in time) in such a way that it will last for all eternity (that is for ever and ever and ever and ever)! Only those - who know the joy of sins forgiven through the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ - have this glorious knowledge in the here and now; and a hope that will see us enjoying His personal friendship and fellowship throughout all eternity.

If you desire more of the reality of what this little message is all about, then all you have to do is to focus on JESUS CHRIST right now, ask Him to become “Number One” in your life – then yield your all to Him. This wonderful privilege of knowing Jesus is being presented to you right now! There is no better deal to be found anywhere! Don’t delay – see and know the wonderful privilege of being a friend of Jesus today. He waits for YOU!  ~ Rodney W. Francis.

“Dear Lord, I come to You in the precious and worthy name of Jesus Christ, Your risen and living Son. I thank You that You have personally chosen and called me to know You in a real way. Please help me to appreciate more and more all that You have done for me. Help me to give You more of myself and to live to please You like never before. Help me to not be distracted from keeping You as ‘Number One’ in my life. Thank You, Jesus, for this wonderful privilege of knowing you in time, and throughout all eternity. In Jesus’ name I pray these things, Amen.”
