MOTIVATED BY VISION

The Christian life is one that is motivated by vision. Carrying the vision of God for our lives is far more important than many think. God has a vision for every one of us.

  • When we know that vision it motivates us to make decisions that will help us to fulfil that vision.

The Apostle Paul could say: “I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision” (Acts 26:19). It was not all plain sailing for him, but he was so motivated that he endured every obstacle and act of persecution against him. His life, example and ministry have impacted multiplied millions of people in a positive and powerful way. Your vision and mine can have that same impact if we are obedient to our heavenly vision. Right now it is our turn to be true representatives of the Living Christ Jesus here on earth.

  • The possibilities are limitless when we are totally committed to the vision of God for our lives!

People ask, “How can I know God’s vision and purpose for my life?” A simple answer is that it comes out of a personal and close relationship with the Giver of the vision. His name is Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God. That is the born-again believing Christian’s first responsibility toward God ~ getting to know Him! In the natural, when we fall in love with someone we want to spend as much time as we can getting to know that person (and we don’t need a lot of encouragement from others to do that)! So it is with Jesus. When we fall in love with Him we want to love and please Him. Out of that relationship vision is birthed and we get to know our destiny and God’s purpose for saving us! It is this personal relationship with Jesus that makes Christianity to be very different from every other religious belief system. Religion is built on the past; Christianity is built on a personal relationship with Jesus right now, today! You have been chosen of God to be a man or woman of purpose and destiny!

  • With His vision pulsating in your heart you cannot lose for winning!

VISION IS VITAL!

Vision is so important that, without it, the Bible says our life will decay and perish: “Where there is no vision, the people perish . . .” (Proverbs 29:18, KJV). Another translation says: “Where there is no revelation (“prophetic vision”), the people cast off restraint (“live carelessly”) (NKJV). To me, this verse carries a two-fold challenge: If we are not walking in prophetic vision, then we are causing others to live carelessly without conviction of the truth of the Gospel ~ and we ourselves are also caught in a downward spiral that causes lukewarmness of heart and undisciplined living. And there is no true joy and victory in Christianity when we live that way!

GOD HAS A VISION THAT IS JUST SO RIGHT FOR YOU!

  • God has a vision that is just so right for you! Make very sure you know His vision for your life, then commit to it and fulfil it to the glory of God!
  • Nothing motivates us more than knowing the vision, knowing God’s will and purpose for our lives, and our obedience to it.

It is time to be finished with excuses and/or blaming someone else for why you are not fulfilling your destiny. Seek God (out of love for Him) and get it directly from Him. You will be so glad that you did.

The GFM Ministry has almost completed 50 years of operation. It has been quite a journey with God. To start off from being a school drop-out and living with a sense of failure to where we are today is all because I received God’s vision for my life in my first year of being a Holy Spirit-filled Christian. I knew God had called me to be in full-time ministry. It did not happen overnight, but His vision in my heart motivated and stirred me to keep believing, pressing through the various obstacles that try and get in the way. He called me to know His voice, and over the years I have heard His voice telling me what He wanted me to do. Every time I obeyed His voice I saw the resulting fulfilment of what He promised and the vision kept growing.

  • Vision is the ability to see and know God’s call on your life so you can get on and do it.

Our vision should be plain and understandable: “Then the Lord answered me and said: ‘Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry’” (Habakkuk 2:2-3). If your vision (and mine) is not clear enough that we commit it to a simple written statement, then it will not impact us as much as it should. And if it does not impact us, then our vision is not going to impact others either. The secret lies right within us. Make sure we get it right there through a personal, love relationship with Jesus.

  • What is your vision?
  • Have you written it down in a simple statement?
  • Do you believe it enough to act upon it?

The best is yet to come for you if you do. ~ Rodney W. Francis.

Bible Reading:    Acts 22:14-15      Acts 26:16-19      Philippians 1:9-11

Prayer:“Dear Lord, I come to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, and I ask You to help me to break free from every person and thing that comes between You and me. I ask You to help me to clarify my vision so that I can fully commit to it as I do want to fulfil my destiny and purpose for which You have chosen and called me. My desire is to walk daily with You, Lord Jesus, and to be open to hearing Your voice of truth, so that I can be a true and living witness of You. Help me to do what is right in Your sight, so that I will be quick to obey You, and prove that indeed, You are Who you say You are. Help me to be a more positive believer in that vision You have given to me. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for hearing my prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
